Blender is a free and open source 3D software program that supports multiple aspects of 3D development. This includes modelling, rendering, animation, texturing, simulations and video editing. It has a great online community support system, and is available on Mac, PC and Linux. To know more about Blender, click here.
The below lessons are intended to be used within Digital Media classroom environments and are designed to be an introductory approach to teaching 3D development using Adobe Aero as a tool to promote classroom communication and collaboration, as well as spatial awareness. Many of these lessons, materials and ideas have been inspired by Colin at BornCG.
It is recommended that teachers familiarize themselves with both Blender and Adobe Aero before implementing these lessons into your classroom.
